Default Speed Inc rail fitting question

I have the Speed Inc. rails and bought the install kit also but was wondering if the 3/8 NPT fittings that go into the rails need teflon tape or a o-ring or anything? Working in aviation everything gets a oring so it just seems odd to not put one on there.

teflon tape, but you need to be careful as to how it's applied so it doesn't roll off as you thread it in and get into the rails, injectors, etc

some people use red loctite as well which I use on all my nitrous installs with great success
