Would I save by doing an E85 swap?
Starting a new job here next week which has a good drive there and back each day. I am thinking of taking the Camaro to start to see how it goes and being the M6, it does well on the highway for MPG. It is mainly stock other than suspension and rear end, it does have a 3.73 hurting me with MPG I am sure a bit. Here is the info, tell me if you think I would save by running E85 please!
2000 Camaro SS, unsure of exact MPG, but I know the car will require more E85 to run than it would gas. Have multiple fill stations along the drive to work. Drive is 98% all highway, the same highway, so really stuck in 6th at 70-75 mph all the way. It is 80 miles each way, 160 miles per day. Gas around here is about $4.09/gal of 87 octance. E85 is about $3.39/gal. Would the saving at the pump save in my wallet from the change being all highway?
Thanks!
