Default Problem, please help: Fuel pump and filter location, and how to replace? 2000 C5

After car running like crap and dying out quickly, I check the fuel pressure at the rail. Reads 11 to 14 psi. Car fired up and pressure quickly drops to 9-10 psi and dies out. I'm guessing a bad fuel pump and/or filter. My question is, where do I find the fuel pump and filter? And how to replace them? Also, please post any other areas where a problem may be. Thank you.

Fuel pump module is in the fuel tank. Replacement involves doping the tank.
Looks something like this.

Based on your signature, this is a C5 Vette. If so, the tank does not have to come out....
It is nothing like what Ollie posted.

The pump is in the tank, but it is removed from in front of the Dr. side rear tire.

Filter/pressure regulator is further forward, easily found if you follow the fuel lines.

It is likely the pump, but if you are short on diagnostic capabilities, the filter is easy to change as a first step.

Lonnies, thank you for the helpful info. Its greatly appreciated. Yes its for a 2000 C5 (in thread title). I indeed was going to replace the filter/regulator first, then the pump if needed. But it's more likely a pump issue.

Where are some good places to get the filter/regulator and pump?

I can get you a performance replacement pump if interested.

As for the filter, I would try to get a GM replacement if possible. Some of the replacements may not be as good of quality, so I always try to get the factory ones.

Feel free to give me a call.
