Default Repercussions of a blown seal on the Fuel Rail Pulse Dampener?

I researched and unfortunately could not find what I was looking for.

the seal on my surge regulator (fuel rail, 99-02 ls1 fbody stock piece) appears to be bad. It looks like some of it as crumbled away and the piece of actually pretty easy to wiggle around in the shroud for it.

Anyone have any idea how one removes and replaces this seal that holds in the surge part?

Any idea if having this seal blown out a bit would cause a HIGH fuel pressure situation? This doesn't really make sense to me, maybe they are unrelated or its not leaking pressure from this seal whatsoever.

Right now I am trying to fix my high fuel pressure problem post aeromotive 340 lph and racetronix install.

Default

The hi psi could well be the new pump is overrunning the regulator.
With a possible leak @ the rails, I'd get that fixed B4 you drive the car.
