Default Fuel pump or Starter? Any help needed

Hi guys,
On my 01 WS6 Ive been having a problem with getting the thing started with the first turn of the key. Ill turn it let it prime for several seconds then try to start it and I get a whole lot of runnanana runanana runanana. Then as soon as I turn the key a second time it fires right up but not strongly everytime.

I have new plugs in wires in it. I also just replaced the fuel filter a week ago. My service engine light comes on and off and the code is telling me that both engine banks are too lean. I suspect that it is the fuel pump but could this be the starter by anychance?

Ill take any help

If the engine turns when you hit the key, it is not the starter.

The fact that your codes show a lean condition, it sounds like a fuel issue.

I have new replacement pumps & also performance versions in stock if interested. Feel free to give me a call.
