Pressure regulator in fuel filter

Pressure regulator in fuel filter
I was reading an LS Swap book and they say alot of people use the 1999-2003 fuel filter with the built in pressure regulator. How well do these work? What are the Pros and Cons of having them? I'm planning on using my stock LS1 returnless fuel rail and I thought I would need an external fuel pressure regulator. This would make it alot easier in my build instead of having to run two fuel lines between the tank and engine.

Is this for the 72 Oldsmobile Cutlass in your signature?
The regulator is not in the fuel filter. It is in the fuel pump module.
The fuel pump module bucket is spring loaded and will compress from 10 inches high down to 9 inches.
Check the depth of the fuel tank.
This is how to plumb to a returnless fuel line.
One thing to keep in mind. The fuel level gauge in the car, is not compatible with the fuel level sender in the module.
The fuel level gauge operates on 0 to 90 ohms. The fuel level sender operates on 40 to 240 ohms.
There are several ways to make this work. One way is to have the gauge rewired to operate on the 40 to 240 ohms.
Install a compatible aftermarket fuel gauge. Third is to install the fuel pump module in the tank and retain the stock sender.
Link to installing the fuel pump module in thank.
