Default Need a pic of tape measure along the float side of a fuel pump bucket please...

Hey guys, i just had my stock LS tank switched out to a metal LT F'body tank so it could be sumped and had already sold off the dual pump setup with my bucket so now i'm needing to mount a sending unit on the metal arms coming down from the hat on the LT pump mount. To do so i need to see how far down the LS equipped bucket that the float arm mounts so i can get it decently close and read my fuel level again. Sucks on E85 cuz it goes so quick and stations are very few and FAR between around here.

Anyway, just to recap, i need a pic of a 99-02 F'body bucket, the side that has the float attached to it, with a tape measure showing how far below the top that it's located.

Your help is Greatly appreciated!!

You cannot get an accurate measurement from the top.... it compresses when you install it on a 99 tank.

You need to mount the level sensor so when the float arm is fully dropped, it is about 1/2" off the bottom of the tank.

so THAT'S why they have springs on em! LOL ok well i'll go ahead and take that route then by measuring from the floor to the top of the tank and install it so it sits as you say. thank you very much!!!
