Default wires in the fuel tank

i soldered some wires for my dual intake fuel pump setup and the heat shrink left a little opening what can i use to cover that, that the gas wont dissolve?

The gas shouldnt dissolve it. Although a good crimped connection is preferable IMO.

Ok but I'm looking for something to close the hole from the heat shrink not hugging the wire, that won't dissolve or will it be fine as long as it doesn't short?

Ahh rite, get what you mean. As long as the wires cannot short to anything it will be fine.

I guess if you're worried about the heat shrink moving, maybe a small cable tie around it or something ?

I'm not scared about it moving but gas getting in it but I should be fine

The motor and all it's wires and connections are submerged in fuel, as are all the connections for the fuel sender.

So all parts will be covered in fuel anyway. But a short or spark in a non submerged section would be more at risk than anything that is submerged.

Although the lack of oxygen in the tank should prevent anything nasty happening.
