Default 60 lb fuel injectors too big for setup?

I have a buddy getting rid of his 60 lb siemen deka injectors, beings he has to move to 80lb's. I could get them from him for cheap, but would this be overkill for my setup?
LS1, bored .30 over... still a 346. 228r cam, 862 casting 5.3 ported heads, ls6 intake, ported TB, full exhaust, A4 with 3600 stall, and stock fuel system for 98 z28's. I believe they are 28 lb/hr injectors.
Im in the process of putting my engine back in once I get a few small things done. but thought this might be a nice upgrade... I just don't want it to be overkill.
Any input is appreciated, Thanks in advance.

What tuning program are you running? You can lean them out. They also give you plenty of room to grow if you ever install a larger engine, run a dry kit, or bolt on a supercharger. Shoot me a pm and I can send you some helpful files for getting the injector tables entered correctly for the 60# injectors. You will have to manipulate the VE tables.

my tuner uses HP tuners. Future plans are adding a nitrous system, and possibly direct bolt on D1SC/twin screw.

Overkill... those injectors actually flow ~72lb/hr on LS1 fuel pressure. You can get them to run fine however it'll never have near the drivability of a smaller injector on that setup. Those injectors will support 800whp with gas running a NA afr. I had some sitting on the shelf when I did my heads cam swap on my personal car and didn't care for them... I ended up trading a customer that was maxing out a set of green top 42's on a maggy car and swapped the green tops in mine and it runs so much smoother even though the spray pattern is worse than the Siemens... longer finer spray helps. My advice on injectors for your setup would be either some of the red 30lb bosch (flow ~35.x lb/hr at LS1 pressure) or the 36lb bosch. Both of those will support any NA 346 engine on gas.

If the tuner is good you should be fine, as others said you can grow into them.
