I'm not sure if this is the right place to post or not, but I just got a 2004 GTO automatic and was looking to put a cam and an exhaust on it. I am not too familiar with what a camshaft does, but I do know that they can make a car sound awesome. If somebody could help me decide what kind to get that would be very helpful.

OK this is the wrong section but since your new I will help you out. With out getting too complicated a camshaft controls valve events which basically means how much and how long the valves open close. Now if I was you I would read this and it will give you a good amount of info to start you off learning https://ls1tech.com/forums/new-ls1-o...anna-fast.html. Just spend some time searching over the site, there is tons of knowledge on here and plenty to be learned. Good luck and welcome to LS1Tech.
