Default 85mm MAF.. tune or not to tune? WHY??

I put a truck MAF with adapter harness on my 99 Z28 and car runs perfect... havent been to the track to verify, but it dont feel any different really...
I would think that if it needed tuning, that it would run like ****, or not pull sooo hard up top....
So tell me, what is actually going on... Is it going lean, rich, or what?? anything??? Please elaborate TUNERS... im very curious as to whats going on.. Thanks.

butt dyno is useless

I have driven my car everywhere from 11.8:1 to 13.4:1 air/fuel and it always feels about the same. You really want to scan it and see so you are not losing power from being rich or risking damage from being lean.

Changing your MAF changes everything, although it may be very little. Best bet is to take it to a tuner so he can verify everything is checking out and make any needed adjustments. I doubt it's hurting anything, but it may not be working as well as it can.
