Walbro 225 hot wire kit?

Walbro 225 hot wire kit? I just put a walbro 225 in my car this morning I just hooked it up to my wires I had . What does the hot wire kit do and do I need one? Thank for any help on this

The factory wire going to the pump is small which creates resistance. That resistance will limit full power going to the pump. Hot wire kit runs a larger wire direct from the battery (fused) and to a relay that is activated by your old wire. If you want to save the money on the hot wire kit go to a parts store and buy a 30 amp relay for a fog light setup and wire that in, they are like $3.
