Default Rust!!!

I have a 98 z28 with a steel tank. Me and a buddy lined my gas tank with red kote and replaced the injectors with 04 gto injectors as well as put a new fuel filter on it. The problem it was having before and having again is rust particles( there must be a rust spot left?) are partially clogging my injectors and causing a p0300 code. ( low throttle, heavy load) my question is.. Is there anything I can add to my gas tank to dissolve the rust? This is my daily and I really can't afford to have her down for any length of time. Thanks

if you have the proper fuel filter, you shouldn't be having rust at your injectors.

I put a brand new fuel filter on my car as well as fuel pump and strainer. The coating is intact, but there is still a rust spot somewhere in the tank cause the strainer has a bunch of tiny rust particles on it. I've had the system flushed since I lined the tank and put new injectors, filter, pump & strainer etc etc. my car ran good with no hesitation for a few days but has gotten back to being sluggish and throwin the same p0300 code it had before when you would get past 60mph with just light throttle.

If it was that much rust, why not replace the tank itself?

I actually just did. It was extremely difficult to find a new one. Gm discontinued the steel tank. I was hoping I could find something to add to my gas to dissolve the rust so I wouldn't have to pull the tank again but such is life

Did you see rust on your injector tips?

How do you know it was rust other than guessing?
