How to get plastic fuel tube over pump?

Default How to get plastic fuel tube over pump?

Iv tried everything to fit this thing on. I tried heating it up with a lighter, booking it, wd40 on inside. Nothing works. Are there any tricks to it?

I've always used a heat gun, i suppose you could try a hair dryer if you didnt want to buy a heat gun for this one time use. It works much better than anything with a flame, obviously. Use the lower setting and heat it very slowly and even. When you get it right it will slide right on. Good Luck!!

Used a hair dryer and some needle nose to stretch it out a little. Managed to get it over 2 out of 3 barbs. Gonna roll with that and put clamps around each end. Thanks

I used a heat gun and Vaseline. And you should use oetiker clamps to secure it. The worm gear clamps have a tendency to pinch the line and and tear the hose.
