Install AEM 320 LPH Pump -- It has no venturi tube like stock 99 pump uses. Help?
Hey guys, I'm putting a AEM 320 LPH pump into my car. I'm having some concerns though, because this isn't quite a direct fit like Racetronix or similiar pumps. For one, the pump doesn't fit snug into the rubber boot that the stock pump sits in and two, the venturi tube (the small, thin tube that runs to the bottom of the fuel bucket) isn't used on the AEM pump. My question is, is it okay if I do not use a venturi tube and cut holes in the bottom of the bucket to allow the bucket to fill? I understand then, that I would be required to ensure I don't run low on fuel.

I have one in my car, didn't use the venturi. Remember, the return line goes back to the top of the bucket. My bucket has holes in it for dual pumps anyway, but the return to the top of the bucket will put fuel in the bucket. Look at that diagram, the return fuel is directed down one of those tubes to the bucket bottom.
