Gbody LS swap fuel system questions
Hello, this is my first time posting here and hoping i can get some help. Im building my sons first car 79 Malibu and doing a LS swap on it. It is a stock 5.3 truck motor and a 4l60e trans. My question is: can I run the stock fuel line (feed) from the filter to the engine? or do i need to replace that with a larger diameter? Also for a stock build, Is a 255lph pump necessary or can i run the 180lph. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

what i did on my 76skylark is run 3/8 line front to back. filter for silverado by tank. then bought new tank modified it to take silverado pump assembly. recessed a 3 side area 2 1/2 deep hole sawed a 5"hole made plate to hold seal pump with 4 bolts. on bottom of tank did 4"deep 6x6 box welded bottom of tank. pump is in that which is lowest part now so shouldnt have any starvation issues.

Thanks for the responses. I have a grand national tank I will be using and was planning on getting a pump/sending unit from racetronix along with the hotwire kit. I would like to get the 180lph pump instead of the 255lph to save some cash (being that it's a stock build). Has anyone used this pump on their build?
