What are my limits for e85?

Default What are my limits for e85?

98 camaro ss....Stock lines,stock rails, deka 80s, twin 255s on e85. What kinda power level or mph u think I'll max everyrhing out at? Ik some people will say 900 and some will say 550. Car is currently at 650wheel on 14lbs. Looking to turn it up to 19-20lbs

Depends on what kind of E85 you use. Pump fuel is a mixture that uses the dregs at the bottom of the gas tank. The leftover crap that they couldn't sell. Unfortunately, that 15-20% gasoline can cause detonation under the first ring land, and you get this:



And that really limits the amount of cylinder pressure you can build.

OTOH, a quality racing E85, like Sunoco E85-R, uses a high octane racing fuel, and the mixture is much more accurate. With this stuff, you can safely build a lot more cylinder pressure.
