Default Fuel guage pegged past full... help troubleshooting?

Hey all,

My battery ran down and I had to charge the battery. At the same time I needed to swap the computer out. All is well except the Fuel guage is stuck all the way past (totally pegged on the side of the cluster) full, and the "Check Guages" light is on. Every other guage is fine, though I havent driven the car, so I cant totally vouch for the speedometer.

Anyone know the computer pin out on a 99 for the guage? What the full voltage should be (vs empty) etc?

thanks,
Chris

I fixed it by giving it a really hard hit on the top of the dashboard.
The needle sprung back to where is was supposed to be.

Percusive maintenance?

That's awesome, just hope a speed bump doesn;t make it go back to the way it was. Make sure you dont have a short somewhere.
