Default Stock fuel pump?`s

I am going to use a stock ls1 camaro fuel pump in my 1985 chevrolet El Camino sender to fuel my 5.3L swap. I have a couple questions though.
1. the connector for the fuel pump has a grey and black wire Grey is positive and black is negative right? Just wanna make sure I don`t hook um up backwards, that would be bad
2. The stock pump has a second brass output for the fuel venturi system on the f-body I have no way of using this and do not need it so do I plug the output or leave it open? I am assuming I should plug it, if so can anyone suggest what I should use to cap off the opening?

cool, I checked a couple service manuals and they said grey is positive so I am feeling confident as far as that. Now for that venturi thing....... There`s a 50% chance I`ll be right on my first guess.
