Default LS1 injetors in a LT1

The engine is a LT1 350 with fully ported heads, gm 847 cam, LTX stlye sheet metal intake, 58 mm tb, and all the normal bolt ons(headers, intake, etc). My question is would it be any benifit to put in some 98 LS1 injectors (bigger than the other year ls1 injectors i think) as apposed to the 97 LT1 injectors? I think there is a 4 # difference between the two. The ls1s use a different clip to hold them to the rail and they are a hair shorter but neither those is a problem. The reason i ask is i have set of the 98 injectors sitting here and i don't feel like buying other ones if i can use these.

I'm not 100% sure on this, but I think LT1's are rated at 40psi of fuel pressure while LS1's are rated at 60psi. If you just stick the LS1 injectors in they will actually flow less fuel than what you have. Make sure you get a second opinion on this in case I'm wrong. heh...

Good luck!

Correct. 28# in an LS1 is 24# in an LT1.

I have the formula to convert between wrote down in the garage (which is about 100 miles away right now ). I'm sure someone will chime in with it.

Oh, ok. I didn't know that. Sorry if its been asked before but i couldn't find it in a search. So you can just run the LT1s at a higher pressure i guess to get the same # out of the LT1s. The LT1 is actually in a old vette. I'm running the A1000 pump and all an lines to the fuel rails so i turning up the pressure some should be no problem.

Yup. I'm running around 50# of pressure in the turbo car(LT1).

Yeah i got a fuel pressure reg. on it. Its an line running from the tank to the fuel rails and back. I just tiged some an fittings in the rails. How much pressure do you all think i need to set the stock injectors at? The motor will be making about 410 hp.

24s would need 58# of pressure to handle 400hp. That's also @ a 90% duty cycle. I'd consider getting some 30s and backing down the pressure to 50.
