A Few Fuel Injector Questions...
I was reading a post earlier today, about for instance a SVO set of 30lb injectors flow 30lbs on a Ford with there fuel rails and then with our LS1 they will flow at like 42.5lbs. Im about to install a D1SC Procharger and I was wondering if I sould just get the 30lb or should I go ahead and get the 42lbs. How much will the 42lbs flow with our fuel system/rails. My mods are in my sig in case that make a difference. Thanks

The FMS (Ford Motor Sport) Injectors are rated at 30lbs of fuel @ 43.5 psi. LS1's have a Fuel Pressure of 58 psi. So a FMS 30lb injector will be rated at a little more due to the higher fuel pressure. But it's not 42.5 that's a bit high. How much HP you plan on making? THat will determine your Injector size needed, based off of fuel comsumption.

I was thinking about running 5-8psi of boost when I do it. Im not exactly sure how much HP that will register Im thinkin a bit over 450HP. I dont think ill reach 500 with just the 5-8psi. I will most likely keep it at or below 500HP with my setup. Does this information help?

I agree, go with the SVO 42lb injectors. We use them for our installs when keeping with stock internals. Above 500+ rwhp we use 60lb injectors, which still work very well at low rpm's once tuning is done. Bob
