Default What part is this?

I wanted to know what the black cylinder looking thing is on the driver side of the engine right next to the fuel rail? It has a tube that goes into the front of the intake right behind the TB. Thanks! It has a really loud tick to it and wanted to know if this is normal.

Sounds like the evaporative emission canister vent solenoid. Are you setting any codes?

Nope, if there are no codes it sounds like yours might be a bit noisier then some of the others. The Tick you hear is the solenoid opening and closing.

the solenoid isnt much... they are like $10 or 15, at the dealership. You could always get a new one just to see.

Do you have access to any scan tools? If you do you should be able to tell rather quickly if it's an injector or not.
