Default upgraded fuel pump install recommendations

fuel pump install seams like alot of work either dropping the tank or though the top (cutting the body).

What's the alternative will a T-Rex type extremal pump that comes with the Vortex supercharger can that be used as a regular fuel pump? I understand this pump only comes on when on boost.

Who makes an easiely installed external fuel pump upgrade that go'es inline.

I see most here are using the Walboro type is this an extrenal?

Lastly when stock pump fails can it be left in the tank just remove the fuse and connect an extrenal type?

Thanks

cutting the trap door is the way I did it.....way easy.....took about 15 minutes to cut and about an hour to get everything put back in....I could prolly do it in 30 minutes now.....

I've sean the write up on a LT1 car looks like the access to the pump is further back on the LS1. I think it mite be better to use a piece of metal to cover the hole rather than dynomat.

Think I'll study this write up.
Thanks
