Default How do I get the Injectors off the fuel rail?

I did a seach and came up with nothing. I was trying to get them off the fuel rail after I removed the clips that secure the injectors to the rail. With the fuel rail off the car and fuel line disconnected, I pull on them it seems like they come out a little but it pulls its self back in like a suction cup. I don't want to break them pulling too hard. Am I missing something?

just pull REALLY hard and they will come out. nothing should break and make sure when you put the new ones in to put vaseline around the o-rings so they will slide in easier. and when you get the old injectors out make sure the none of the old o-rings stay stuck in the fuel rail. if they do just get a pocket knife and pry them out. hope this helps.

What Okie said. They seem like they are in there for good, but they will come out. I used KY Jelly when I installed mine. They are tough putting them back in too. Leave the little plastic cap on the bottom of the injector to protect it when installing it.

Get the TORCH out!

Sometimes the oring sticks which makes them harder to come out. Next time you pull them after putting some lube on them they will come out alot easier.

Yeah, after reading they just pull out, I was going to soak 'em with WD-40 and yank away!
