This has got me thinking about my setup. I have an Aeromotive A-1000 that I was gonna sump my tank and use along with my Aeromtive fuel rails. I am planning on moving up to a T76 from my T70 Hybrid. I would love to just drop in a dual intank setup and be done with it. Where car the dual Racetronics Setup be bought for a 98 Z28? Lonnies only shows it for the 99+ cars.

A single A1000 on a FI setup will only support about 650rwhp....Give it a voltage booster and it will support more.

Im not a fan of the intank setups simply because all the complaints about noise from the Aeromotive and other externally mounted pumps. I mounted my A1000 to the frame rail behind the drivers side rear tire....on some rubber Isolators from an MSD ignition kit and never once did I hear an obnoxiously loud noise....If i had to do it all over again for street duty high HP application Id run a King Sumoo.

Hope this helps.

So can you use the stock line on the f-body as a return, upgrade the pressure side to a bigger braided line, upgrade to a in-tank 255 and be fine for a boosted 550rwhp setup?

I would do dual in-tank because it would be close to the same price, you have enough fuel flow for future upgrades, and if you still need more you can add the BAP.

Oh yeah.. thanks for all the replies, appreaciate it!
It has been tried and if you put the BAP on the inline that stock pump will be a restriction, and then if you put the BAP on the stocker the inline will be the restriction.

Your problem is in the logs, lines and pump. The pump upgrade may get you over the fuel problem now, but going any futher, will required bigger lines and bigger rails. You need fuel sitting and waiting to be used. Otherwise you could run into a lean condition. 60# injectors are more than big enought for what you are trying to do. You just need to supply them with fuel. A single Aeromotive 1000 and regulator and larger lines and rails would do the trick.

I already have a thread going in the fuel forum but with 250 views and only 5 measly votes on my poll I figured Id try here instead.

Quick run down.. mods:

D1SC, 9-10psi, custom blower cam, 6.0L heads, 8rib setup, 60# mototrons, stock rails, stock fuel pump, Procharger supplied inline. *fresh fuel filter* Made 561rwhp @ 5900rpm.. 9psi.. 15* timing.. when we had to shut down because we ran out of fuel. We made more power then anticipated, or we would have done more fuel mods to start with. I want to stick with stock rails... and fuel lines... I really dont think those are necessary for me. Im trying to figure out what pump setup.

What to do about fuel? What are you guys using, those making similar power?

Racetronix recommends single intank + BAP. Other credible sources agree. Others say go totally overkill and do the duals. FWIW Im leaning on the single + BAP.

-Dual Intank Racetronix
-Dual Intank Racetronix + BAP (boost-a-pump)
-Single Intank Racetronix
-Single Intank Racetronix + BAP

I need to get this damn thing ordered and installed real soon... summer is just around the corner. Im tired of short shifting my car with this potent setup I have going.

PLEASE VOTE AND COMMENT! THANK YOU!

No I didnt... I actually got a single intank Racetronix from a shop in Las Vegas because for some reason my buddy couldnt order one from you directly... the Vegas shop had one in stock.

Ive decided to go ahead and run the Single PNP in the tank and a seperate line, tapped into the tank, to the front with an inline 255... then into a Y block and from there into the rail. Hobbs switch to activate the inline @ 3psi. The shop that suggested this has seen great results with this setup.

Thanks though!

I was in the SAME shoes you were in at one point... I went with a complete F.A.S.T. kit for boosted cars up to 900FI HP... System is a complete kit and looks phenominal... Not to mention the performance of it... System is not that difficult to instal... Just about 6 bulkheads... I alos used a set of 55lbs injectors... Hope this helped...

I use C10 Fuel

Jay

Does it matter how the power is made?? Just wondering because Im looking at doing heads in the future and with heads/cam/nitrous it should be around 550-575rwhp on the nitrous. I was looking at doing the racetronix PNP kit,36lb injectors. Should I look at the BAP along with it too?

That pump should get you to about 600rwhp but I would add the BAP just for the added insurance. You do not want to go lean with nitrous.

This is my exact situation for my current build. Looking for 550~600rwhp with ~10psi on a forged 347. Looks like a single racetronix pump system with a KB BAP and some fuel rails and 60# injectors should be sufficient with the stock lines (if I am reading this correctly)?

Reading all of this info has got me wondering if my setup is gonna work for 550-600rwhp. I'm running a forged 347, walbro 340 w/hotwire kit, 6.0 heads machined to 72cc chambers and 10psi boost. I bought a kit that advertised running 42#SVO's, but I had already bought 44# Accels. Does this setup sound like it will work, or do I need to upgrade injectors, or what else?

If you are looking for about 600rwhp on boost you are going to need some more fuel than one pump is capable of. 550 maybe with upgraded lines and regulator up front and a BAP but I rarely see 600 out of a single pump. Boost requires alot of fuel make sure you have enough. Excess is always good as boost is addictive.

I made 600RWHP at 10psi. I was running 12.5psi on 1 pump & METH (and rails, BAP, fmfpr, etc), but pressure was plummeting into the high 30s psi range. I cheated the tune for a month since the pressure drop was repeatable but I wouldn't advise such.
