Default HELP on pump install QUICK

I have looked at the sticky and at the lt1 write-up but i still cant figure out what the hell to do. I have a 98 trans-am and i'm doing a fuel pump swap to a walbro 255. i have the complete piece out, the pump removed and now i'm stuck... The return line doen't plug into the new filter, what do i do. AND the wiring doesn't plug together with the new stuff so what now. i have a dyno tomorrow and need this done immediatly. Help me out guys.

For the wiring if you got a non-PNP setup, you will have to splice the wires to accecpt the new pump harness. As for the return line not fitting im not totaly understanding what your saying.

Just leave it hang. That is what I was told to do by everyone.
