Default Old Gas?

Does anybody on here know how long it takes for gasoline to go bad? I have some VP racing 103 in the drum. It has been opened and used off and on over the past 6 months. I've heard claims of it going bad when left in your car for a period of time, but mine has been left in the drum. Any answers guy's?

Default

As long as the drum is sealed and not out in the sun geeting heated up and cooled off a ton its good for a year or more. When the color starts getting faded (if its colored) its time to use it in the generator or weed eater Sitting in the car a month with a vented cell it can lose 5 points or more of octane - at least thats what one of the guys at VP told me..
