Default 98 Fuel tank swap??? Walbro fitment

I have a 98 T/A and had to take the tank down, is it worth it to swap to a 99 and up plastic tank? and is it possible? And I have a walbro 255 pump for 99 and up, will that fit in the 98 tank, if the tanks won't swap? Thanks

The '98 tank is preferred, in my opinion, as the pumps are rear mounted for better fuel control. No fuel bucket to worry about either.

The plastic tank is slightly lighter though.

The 98 & 99up pumps are different, but if you are set on using what you currently have, a little adaptation can probably make everything work.

If you desire a plug & play setup, I can hook you up as well.
The kits are listed on my fuel systems page.
