anyone just lowered the tank a little...

anyone just lowered the tank a little... Can this be done. I would need to lower it just enough to get access to a few nuts for bolts that will be used for a roll cage. I've never dropped the tank so dont really know much about it. Search isnt working so Im looking for some help here.

You will have to take the panhard bars off. There are 3 screws and a nut in the petcock that will have to be removed and then unbolt the straps. I was able to do it without raising the car, but it would probably be easier with the car in the air.
One thing to do if you only need a little space would be to leave the lower panhard bar on for the tank to rest on.
