Default 2000 rear in a 97?

Ok guys, maybe you can help me out before i sink 300 bucks. I got a guy trying to sell me a rear out of his 2000 SS (he put in a 12 bolt) Has 3.42 gears... not sure what abs setup... My car is a 97 lt1 with a cooked 10 bolt with 3.23s in it... its time for a new rear but i dont wanna break the bank on a 12 bolt right now. Is it a direct swap or am i gonna have trouble? Thanks Edit: just noticed theres an identical one on here for sale lol, not the one i was talking about, just thought that was a funny quencadence

Yes it will swap over BUT You will need the brakes, backing plates, Rear E-brake cables & E-brake brackets to make it work. You will have to re-work the hard line that runs across the rear but that is not hard to do. Other then that it will work I have one in my car and it was well worth the swap.

Don't forget about the tune for the change in gear ratio's.
