Default What rearend is in the C6

Hello, I'm a new C6 with A6 owner trying learn more about these cars. What type of rearend is in this car "10 bolt"?

If there is a 10 bolt in there, I have the original 3:43 out of my SS with less than 4000 miles on them. Could these be installed in the corvette?

If you have the A6 (06-07) you have the 2.56 rear gear, the 08s have an optional 2.73. Like the other poster said, it's an IRS setup, the trans is in the rear of the car, making a solid swap not very practical. There is many other gearing options in the aftermarket for this rear, as well as hardened shafts incase you're worried about the stockers breaking . Many folks have hit low 11's and some 10's with the stock rear gearing and shafts. A converter , however , does help a ton. A vig. 3200-3600 is what's usually swapped in, along with a C5Z shaft for the driver's side.
