Default ???3 or 4 channel Rear End???

I know this is a stupid question, but what's the difference with a three or four inch rear end? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.

3 channel means it only has ABS, so it would not have a traction control switch on the dash. The rear would have a plug going into the top of the center section.

4 channel means that it has ABS/TCS, so it would have a traction control switch on the dash. The rear does not have a plug going into the top of the center section, instead the rear would have the ABS/TCS connections outboard by the brakes. Bob

Thanks, I guess I've got a 4 channel. Now I need to find a 12 bolt.
