Default Need your opinion fellas....

I, like many others on here that I have found, am having a tough time deciding as to which gear ratio to run and I am putting the rearend on a crate tuesday to ship off to moser engineering to be shortened and rebuilt and a new set of gears installed. Heres what I have going on. Its a turbo car and looking to get around 900 to 1k horsepower. Thats going through a th400 with a transbrake and launching on a 2 step with a 29" tire and spinning the motor from 7200-7400 rpm. I would like to trap 155'ish and hunting for some eights if possible. What gears would you guys run if you were me.................Im thinking somwhere in the 3:50 range or 3:23's maybe. What do you think? Thanks in advance, James.

Honestly, if you're going to be putting that much power down...I'd go with a higher gear ratio...2.88's or something. That will suffice for your top end...imo. lol

3:90s on a 29 inch tire will put you close to where you wanna be. I can figure it out later after work

Is there a specific calculator or equation that you like to use?

I think you'd be happy with 3.50s man.
