Question LT1 Brakes and rotors on 98 SS 10 Bolt?

Ok so i bought a 3 channel rear end off a guy for $400 dollars it was completly rebuild with Auburn High Torque Posi it was out of a 98 Camaro SS.
Well i decided to take the Hats off the 98 Rear end and swap them with mine off my 94 camaro z28 rear end so that way i could use my rotors and calipers on the rebuilt rear end.

So i get everything together and start driving down the road and i hear this grinding sound almost like when you run out of brake pads. so i take the wheels off and the rotor is rubbing up against the caliper on the inside on both the driver and passenger sides. I ended up putting washer's behing the rotors to bring them out and they seem to be working fine.

My question is are the Axles a different length from 94 to 98? i know my calipers are old and the floating part is hard to move maybe i need to buy new calipers??? anyone ever run into this problem?

Yes they are different lengths, but just barely. The washer should do the trick. I just went through this myself after buying a used rear.
