Default reluctor wheel help

can i take the reluctor wheel off my factory Auburn 10 bolt carrier and put it on a
factory zexel torsion‏ unit i am buying it doesnt come with one

yes,I do it.Be careful as the 'reluctor' is prone to cracking if not removed properly and installed properly.
The GM parts manual shows 2 different part numbers for the reluctors with reference to the 'GU' axle codes.It appears the GU2-2.73 and GU4-3.08 get one part number and GU5-3.23 and GU6-3.42 get the other part number.Since the carriers(2 series vs 3 series) are about a 1/4" difference in the position where the ring mounts in relation to where the sensor in the rearend sits,one of the rings might have offset teeth.

the 2.73/3.08 ring is just thinner... no offset. the i.d. of the two are the same. there should be no reason you couldn't re-use it. I have both here in stock if you have problems.
