Default only 1 tire spinning

i took my '02 SS m6 to the track for the first time last night and noticed a few things. when i did my burn out, i set my line lock and burnt out in 1st for a few seconds. my friend was behind me watching. turns out, i never got to run the car, because right when i launched, the driveshaft magically turned into a 3 piece! anyway, when i got back parked, my friend said only one tire was spinning. a few other people mentioned the same thing too. i'm saving for a midwest fabbed 9'', but it'll be a while before i get the money together. what would cause it to only spin one tire?

will this cause it to eventually break even if i take it easy, or will it just spin 1 tire? it's also whining because the backlash isn't right i believe.

Your posi is dead. It's not going to hurt anything to drive it like that, you'll just be doing one wheel burnouts.

You might try changing the fluid in the pumpkin, i had one wheel spinning until i changed the fluid. I have a torsen and was told they are more apt to spin one wheel from the fluid breaking down? Worth a try, since the change both wheels are hooking.... i wouldn't believe it, until it worked.
