Question Help with 12 bolt gear selection

Please help decide between 4:10s or 3:73's for my ride:

SS M6 convertible ( in sig ), 4,000 lbs with me in it. 95 % daily driver.
Moser 12 bolt with tru trac. Spohn adjustable TA, Adjustable panhard, LCA's.
500rwhp @ 6000 rpm / 480# torque. (Will spray a 150 shot later.)

Now have 4:10's but they started howling after a dozen passes. (I now understand from reading that a 9 inch would have been better but too late and no more money)

Motor runs out of steam over 6,200. On 27" slicks I'm running out of 4th gear in the 1/4. ( 125 mph- ish)

While I love 4:10s on the steeet, I hear 3:73's are stronger, will they end up not whining as much?
And maybe I could get closer to 130mph with 3:73's.

Thanks for your help- need to DECIDE this week as I'm going on a 1000 mile cruise.

Hi Rambo, it's good to see you're still on here. I'd go with 3.73's, as you mentioned you'll be adding nitrous to yuor combination. Bob

You're welcome. I got up around 4:45 but I don't think I posted here until 5:45. It is 6:10 here right now. Bob

Thanks Rambo, you have a great day too! That bumper shot took a lot of parts to repair it. New oil pan, QA1 shocks rebuilt, upper a arms, etc. The good thing to we added extra bracing to the roll cage when we installed it, which seems to really have helped, as this car is still straight. If you know of anyone looking to buy a good Camaro, let me know as I'm looking to sell it now. We need to get our tube chassis GTO completed. Bob
