Default Does a 2 series carrier make the 10 bolt stronger?

I see a lot of threads asking about making the 7.62" 10 bolt stronger; the concensus seems to be that at the end of the day it's a hit or miss proposition with an auto and an exercise in futility with a manual. However, I've also read that the teeth on the gears (which are small in a 10 bolt and therefore a weak point) are thicker and stronger in the 2 series than they are in the 3 series. So my question is, would an effective way of making a stronger (or at least less pathetically weak) 10 bolt be to just swap in a 2 series if you don't already have one? I know that they make gears with a lot of different ratios for the 2 series.

The ring gear on a 2 series carrier is thicker. but the teeth are the same size. Some gear ratios will have thicker or thinner teeth.

It all depends on the build and the break in

I thought a 2 series had a shittier differential or unit. posi or non posi. Id say grab whichever is cheaper. More 3 series parts around.

No. Waste of time.

Get the correct gears for whatever carrier you have.
