Default Wear Pattern

250 Miles into the break in, I wanted to check my gears, because they did make a little noise.

I know that they are close, but not perfect. The noise is not bothersome, and I *know* it's not worth the fight.

What say you?

They look too high on the gear tooth to me. I was always told it was supposed to be centered, yours looks a little offset towards the tooth's edge.

The pinion is too deep in the housing, probably needs to come out .002-.005 but you know what that means. If not you will bust the pinion on a good launch guaranteed or it will at least be a very short time before you buy another when it breaks. Your putting all the forces to move the car on the very tip of the pinion gears teeth instead of the meaty center of the gear. I would definitely move it.

That's what I needed to know.
