gear vs conv
i can go either way on this...im running 12.8 n/a@109 with very few mods.11.9x@118 with a 75 shot.
but my 60s arent that good.1.9to 1.85
anyway.i have a auto with 3.42 gear
my deliema...convert or gears?????
im thinking of going 3.90s or a 3200 stall..
which would get me a tenth or so pluss not lose to much daily driving ?

My previous 3200 stall could cut high 1.6x 60 fts. So if your converter cuts your previous best of 1.85 down to say 1.60, thats about .25 inprovement. That should equate to .5 to .7 at the big end of the track. Thats half a second or more. Pretty substantial I think. You are gonna lose some city mileage but it will be worth it. Keep your foot out of it around town and mileage will be similar as the stock stall.
