I bought a rear out of an A4 car and put it in my M6 car to get me by. Well since then, I've been given two fancy driving awards because its thrown my speedo off by almost 20mph!!! How hard is it to replace the gears with what was stock for my car? I've got the other gears already but needed to know if it was a project I could do or need to have a shop do.

Unless you have a depth mic, dial indicator and left hand torque wrench, I would let a shop do it.
