Default Couple Questions about changing the rear diff fluid

I want to change the diff fluid in my 2000 SS. Is there any way to tell what kind of posi i have (torsen or auburn) without taking the cover off? Also, how do you drain the old fluid, and how much new fluid does it take? Thanks

Jack up both rear wheels, car in neutral, spin one tire. If they go oposite directions you have a torsen, same direction you have an aubirn. In order to drain the fluid you have to pull the cover. It will take 2 quarts and an addiitve if you have a Auburn. No additive necessary for a Torsen.
