Default This much play??

I have a 9" spool with 4:56 gears. My camera died half way through the video but I got a little. Is there supposed to be this much play in a spool? Also, when I hit the tire with my hand, you can hear something inside(pretty sure it's the axles) rattling. Once you start turning the wheels, there is no more rattling sound. I just thought a spool was a tight/no play diff.

If you turn your speakers up you can hear the sounds. Not sure if your rear end does this?

You will have some movement as there has to be backlash in the ring and pinion. Bob

Make sure you DO NOT make tight turns, you will break the axle bearings, and most people don't know they did...
