Default Taking out the axle???

I broke a wheel stud in the rear driver side. I heard I will have to remove the axle in order to replace it. So I bought 5 new ones might as well replace them while its apart. Is removing the clip that holds it in pretty straighforward?

Also what lube do you guys recommend and does it need the GM posi additive???

Thanks!

You can change the rear studs without pulling the axle out. I have done it. Remove the caliper and pull the rotor off. Drive the old one out with a punch. If you rotate the axle around, you will find a spot where you will have enough room to get the new one in. I used a stack of flat washers and a lug nut to pull it into the flange.

That is WONDERFUL news I'll get on it first thing in the morning. Maybe I'll install my SFC while I have the car up

Thanks!
