Which way does axle reluctor ring install?
I just swapped the rear axle in my car from a 2-series 2.73 axle to a 3-series 3.42 axle. Now the ABS/TC doesn't work. Both axles are 4-channel. I had to swap the reluctor rings from my rear to this newer rear. I put the flat side toward the backing plate and the dished side toward the wheel. Is that correct? The sensor extends about half way across the gear teeth.
I really don't want to have to disassemble it again, but I want to make sure I didn't goof up before I start checking wiring.

I just remembered that I turned on the key switch to put the transmission in neutral before I plugged in the harness. I'll bet that threw problem codes. Now that the sensors are plugged in will it reset automatically after a certain number of key cycles, or do I have to wipe out the problem codes to start over?

Still doesn't work after clearing codes. I guess I'll be troubleshooting sensors and wiring.
