leaky 12 bolt
Hey guys I got a 12 bolt put in about 5 months ago form a local shop. About 2 months ago I had found a leak on the diff cover which was an easy fix. Now over the weekend I was installing some parts parts on the back of the car and noticed grease on the back driver wheel. Upon further checking it looks like it is coming out of the axle shaft housing and I have no idea why,and it is also leaking out of the pinion seal. Do yall have any idea why these places are leaking and what is the best way to fix them.

Do you have it filled with gear lube to the bottom of the fill hole, which takes about three quarts of gear lube? I asked this because some people fill it up to the top of the axle tubes through the vent hole on the driver side axle tube, which puts way too much lube in it. Bob

You can pick up new seals at your local Napa, ask for the parts to a 1975 Ford pick-up 9". Bob
