are my gears holding me back ??
2001 camaro z28 M6 converted
3.23 gears (yes, i know those are auto gears)
LT's
Straight Pipe - 3 in
stock suspension
Descreened maf
nitto 555r DR's 315s
stock 10 bolt
13.4 1/4
109 mph
i know suspension would help me but the question is the gears.. this is my daily and not looking into 4.11's .. but i like high speed runs on the freeway..
which gear selection do you guys think are good for me

You got 3.23s',you don't want 4.10s',the only 2 choices left are 3.42s' & 3.73s'.
An M6 w/315 DR is dangerous to the little 10 bolt.
The OEM 3.23s' & 3.42s' are stronger(less prone to breaking) than aftermarket 3.73s' & 4.10s'.
3.73s' & 4.10s' would improve your 1/4 mile times,so yes, the 3.23s' are holding you back in regards to 1/4 mile.

They are definitely holding you back. Have you ever driven a car with 4.10s? I just put 4.11s in my 9" for my daily driver Trans Am. They are awesome. Great acceleration and you only spin like 200 more rpms on the highway.

listen your best bet is to save for a rear if your thinking of gear change, the stock 10 bolt imo is not worth putting a dime into, after gears, rear cover, rebuild kit etc its so not worth it if your going to be at the track often, my vote would be 4.10s , but that depends on future mods, goals, etc. i will be going with 4.30 gear in the new rear, but those fit my goals, i know some m6 guys that run 4.56 gears and love them
