Gear swap 2.73 to 3.23

Gear swap 2.73 to 3.23 What is needed to make this swap. I just got another Camaro with a factory 2.73 and I have a old housing with a 3.23 minus the diff what do I need to do to make the diff work off the 2.73. I always herd they won't work together.

Just trying to use some parts I have laying around without spending any or much money on it, I found and adapter by motive has anyone used this and does it make it any more weak than the stock unit.

I would not use the adapter ring people have said that they can come loose or break under hard use. I would do one of three things.... Find pull out which may or may nt be easy by you. Or buy a set of thick cut gears that will work with your series 2 carrier or fin a series 3 carrier to work with your gears. Honestly tho I would go with 3.42s I have them in my car and they aren't bad on the hwy plus thu give a little edge over 3.23s

I have a set of 3.42s also just not planning on really racing the car much didn't want to spend much money on it but can't stand to be slow so I guess I'll just get a diff. for it and use the 3.42s.
