Default What lube do you use in your stock rear??

I've been using the GM stuff but I want to switch to synthetic. Is the Red Line 75W90 Synthetic Gear lube better than GM's?

i've heard some negative things about synthetic so i went with plain old 75-90 gear lube. make sure to use the Posi-additive....

2000 and up you can use synthetic just not on 98 and 99. I use Mobil 1 75-90. Just do not forget the GM limited slip additive.

I changed the fluids today with synthetic. I think they say not to use synthetic on Auburn Posi's. I am pretty sure my car has a Torsen. When I spin one wheel the other spins backward so I think it is ok to use synthetic. I did use the additive as well. Thanks

Question

I have a Torsen in my '99 3Oth TA - so I planned to go with Mobil 1 as well - that should be OK shouldn't it? Thanks...

A lubricant additive is necessary for clutch type posi units such as the Auburn. No additive is needed for the Torsen.
