Thinking about 4.10's(A4)
I was previously running a 3.73 with 26x10.5 et streets and I really wasn't QUIET satisfied. SOOOOO now I'm thinking that I'm gunna upgrade to a set of 4.10's with maybe some 27x?? hoosiers or maybe a 28x11.5 et drag. I have plans for a T-rex cam pretty soon also(actually it will be my next mod-- which will hopefully be before we get outa school for the summer). I'm gunna upgrade to a SS4000 this summer also.
So what do you guys think about this set up? I would probably prefer to use the 28x11.5 b/c I still plan on using nitrous on the car.

4.10's with a big converter is a mean combo at the track and on the street. Even from a roll the car was really mean... I have had that combo for a few years. 4.10's in the stock rearend, well, you are taking a chance, the teeth are small.

how were 373s for the street??
i had 410s in my last car (blown/stroked 87 cutlass 442) and hated life.revving up to 3600 rpms just to do 70 on the highway was killing my gas and pocket.does the engine rev up high on the highway with 373s?

[QUOTE=Pro Stock John]A4 will have OD. With 26's out back I was doing 3000 rpms most of the time on the highway going like 75+.
I like the 4.10 gear i'm on a 26" tall tire and just like quoted on the highway 80mph at 2900 rpms not bad at all as long as your locked up on the convertor.
